Using property owned by Pierre Bastid, Evok was conceived and developed by Romain Yzerman and Emmanuel Sauvage, who is also general manager, and opened in 2014. Its 3 co-founders wanted to create new lifestyles and destinations that change the rules of what a luxury hotel can be.
The heart of the project is the goal of playing a role in society: helping the men and women on our teams to develop, sharing ways of doing things and ways of being, creating energy, and moving toward a future that is more environmentally sustainable. It’s a way of giving back, sharing success, and inspiring interconnectedness through a business project that is anything but business as usual.
This guiding thread defines each of the group’s openings. These destinations are full of history and carefully selected to immerse guests in the atmosphere of a city or neighborhood. To express its style through every fiber, each hotel has its own character, type of hospitality, and customs. The collection is expanding across borders. Each destination has its very own ambition, universe, and living environment inspired by its location.
The group finds an appropriate place and brings it back to life, giving free rein to the imagination of the designers who have been selected, including Philippe Starck, Tristan Auer, Jean-Louis Deniot, Christophe Tollemer, and Lecoadic & Scotto. It’s a daring move for a company that loves to surprise: starting from scratch and creating a new emotion.
Evok has developed true skills and expertise in hotels, restaurants, and well-being. Whether creating or restructuring establishments in France or abroad, Evok offers tailor-made support through its expertise in management, auditing, and consulting.
After 6 unique hotels, history is still being written and the group’s brands are now expanding abroad: Nolinski in Venice (2022) and Brach in Madrid (2022) and Rome (2023).
